Dancing & Me

Dancing... I find it as one of the craziest things in my life. Dancing makes me feel good and relax, every step I keep, i enjoy a lot. Dancing can be fun-full thing for any person who can move their body for a beat. Dancing is an art so you din't really have to learn it (unless you compete) its there in your body. It's just a feeling that you really want to express when you hear music that kicks you.

Anyhow, I did not dance until I am around 17 years of age, somehow, I happened to dance randomly that day I never thought that I will reach some stage of the national level with that. So I started Latin and Ballroom dancing in 2007 with one of the greatest teachers Tony Fernandez. Competed at different levels, won medals at national level competitions. My partner was Nimali Nisansala Peiris who is an amazing dancer. I had to stop dancing in 2008 where as, I returned in 2012 under THE greatest Latin teacher Kevin Nugara, I was able win a few categories with my dancing partner Sharanya Dias who is another super talented dancer. Sharanya is a ballet dancer who came in to Latin in later. Together we were able compete many events and win quite a lot of places. Most importantly we use to enjoy the dance at every time.

Dancing gives you a good health plus mind relaxation. As far as you enjoy dancing, time,age,money or anything won.t stop you enjoying it.

I might stop dancing but I will still LOVE dancing and will live with it. :)
